Nsite Studio revolutionizes the way that organizations educate and train large groups of individuals.  Nsite enables unsurpassed ease of use from the time of preparing the learning material (as easy as preparing a PowerPoint slideshow), to the testing and tracking the results of the users experience, and ultimately to tracking how the newly learned skills are applied in a real world experience.

Traditional e-Learning

The traditional e-learning development methodology can be viewed as illustrated in Figure 1. Content development, or authoring tools, are used to create the e-learning content and prepare it for delivery. While traditional authoring tools can provide content creation capability to the e-learning developer, most of these tools require substantial knowledge of instructional and web technologies. In addition, most current authoring tools do little to manage the instructional design process. A learning management system (LMS), is used to deliver developed e-learning content to the end user. The traditional LMS is a high-cost client-server application requiring a significant IT support infrastructure to deploy even small amounts of needed training to users.

Nsite e-Learning, as shown in Figure 2 divides the e-learning methodology into four components:

Performance Mapping – Proactively identify where training is needed. Performance Mapping is the component of Nsite e-Learning where the instructional design is identified and specified. Nsite  Performance Mapping, utilizing Nsite’s patented Window Mapper, is used to provide gap analysis of workplace needs, identifying target performance improvements. Identified performance needs then become the specification for the instructional design.

Design Capture – Create the training. Design Capture creates a powerful easy-to-use graphical view of learning design, clearly representing the content and sequence the learner must follow to improve the target performance. Learning content is imported and created within Design Capture along with the specifications of assessment and learning sequence.  Nsite Design Capture (DC) provides powerful graphical diagram and outline views of an instructional process, facilitating content development in a natural, expressive form. Nsite DC dramatically reduces e-learning development costs through an instructional design methodology that is quick to learn, easy to use, and requires little information technology know-how.

Learning Delivery – Deploy and track the training. Learning Delivery manages the learner experience directly on the user desktop across multiple learning management systems, and a variety of network topologies. Nsite Learning Delivery (LD) delivers low cost, high return e-learning to the desktop through the industry’s first Learning Delivery System (LDS). Nsite LDS delivers learning content through a variety of  flexible network topologies (stand-alone, local area network, or Internet). Working in concert with Design Capture the LDS seamlessly interfaces with all major industry standards, including ADL’s (Advanced Distributed Learning) SCORM (Sharable Content Object Reference Model). Nsite LDS provides complete control of the learning experience to the training developer. Nsite LDS allows training developers to deploy, track, and modify training modules effortlessly from their own desktop. 

Performance Management – Post-training real-time monitoring.   Performance Management again utilizing Window Mapper, is employed to measure post-training performance outcomes providing quantifiable return on the developed learning content. Nsite Performance Management (PM) delivers one-on-one expert user software training, learner performance mapping, and post-training performance monitoring. Nsite PM works with Nsite LD to bring quality assurance to the e-learning experience through skills competency verification of post-training workplace environments. Nsite PM utilizes patented software technology to record, store, and evaluate user interactions quickly and efficiently.

In summary, Nsite Studio is an advanced e-learning environment that rapidly designs and deploys adaptive instructional content at up to one half the cost of traditional e-learning methodologies. It combines a hierarchical design methodology that is easy to learn and use with a flexible cost effective delivery platform.
